NEW STRATEGY BROUGHT TO LIFE
Getting 3000 employees on the same page with one video.
AZ Sint-Lucas is the city hospital right in the heart of Ghent. To roll out their new strategy, they wanted to sprinkle in a bit of humor — a little ‘folieke’, as we’d say at FilmFolie. Since we were already on the same wavelength, that playful spark became the perfect recipe for our story.
Local talent
A nod to the cuberdon war on the Groentenmarkt, the knight on the Gravensteen, the heroes of the AZ: all these legends were packed in a short film of two and a half minutes. Ghent's top actors Jan Matthijs and Robrecht Vanden Thoren shine in their roles as patient and PIT nurse respectively, but the video also featured a lot of extras. Colleagues became ambassadors and proudly appeared on camera.

The 'Ghent' dispatch
AZ Sint-Lucas is a place of warmth, innovation and teamwork. Together we are stronger, which is why we called on a former colleague from VRT, Joachim Vandoorne. As co-director, he came up with the idea of taking inspiration from Wes Anderson's unique visual approach. His nostalgic style and symmetrical shots emphasize what’s really important, and for AZ Sint-Lucas that is the patient.
Strategic immersion
In addition to the more playful video, we were tasked with developing a concept for the six pillars that form the foundation of their strategy. The staff at AZ Sint-Lucas experienced these pillars through six immersive videos. And just like that, all 3000 employees were instantly on the same page!
