In the context of the International Day against Racism, the European Coalition of Cities against Racism (ECCAR) asked cities all over Europe to record a video message. That’s when the city of Ghent came knocking on our door. We rewrote the lyrics to the Rauw & Onbesproken track Contradictio. Billie Bentyn wrote the chorus, which was performed on the track by Elodie Carels.

 

Afterwards we took the song to famous Ghent people who happily starred in the clip and lip-synced the lyrics. The video clip went viral and former mayor Daniël Termont, who also stars in the video, was invited to the Eén talkshow Café Corsari to talk about the project.
